About the Client:

Roots & Boots promotes real food, natural wellness, and non-toxic living. It’s run by Kathleen Henderson, a homesteader who shares her journey of growing real food and raising three boys while renovating a 20-acre farm in Northern Virginia. Her site offers resources, recipes, and tips for those interested in homegrown food, Paleo-ish recipes, and natural living practices, encouraging visitors to embrace a lifestyle centered around healthy, sustainable living and community.

What Was Needed:

Kathleen, a long-time client of ours, not only wanted a full redesign with new branding, but she also wanted the website to grow into an e-commerce site where she could sell courses, ebooks and provide a membership area where she could share all her favorite resources and tips.

Solutions Provided:

Redesigning the site in the flexible Beaver Builder theme allowed our team to create a fresh new look with a flexible layout for her pages and membership area. Woocommerce was installed for her e-commerce portion and Checkout WC added for an easy to use checkout environment that recommends other products to buy. The recipes, blogs, and hidden membership area all utilize FacetWP which provides clean advanced filtering to find just the right resource. We also work monthly with Kathleen to help build up her Pinterest, Facebook & YouTube channels and provide monthly detailed statistics to analyze traffic and purchase origins.
